Colossians 1:21-23
21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.
22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation-
23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Who are you?
The evil condition we live is seen in our action and our way of thinking.
Colossians 1:19-21 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.
Remember who you were, what have you done in the past and how you have been save from the eternity judgement because of your evil live.
Remember who you are, how suppose you live now in your new life.
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies of Him. All the way of your life; your thinking, your action, your words is opposed His will.
What have God done in your life?
God has reconciled us with Himself by Christ. Our present condition is blemless and free from punishment. This is the work of God and not us.
None of us can save them self from the eternity judgement. But by faith, we come to God and receive His forgiveness which He proclaim on the Cross of Jesus Christ His son.
Hebrews 11:6 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
There is no place in this new life, there is no place for our humanity to be boast and proud of this new life in Christ. There is no place for us to take part in the crucifixion of Christ, the action that only God can do. Only the respond of faith need to show from us to this great action of love.
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
What response must we show?
Our faith is base on the Cross. Base of what Christ has done for us on the Cross, So we have to always remember the Cross.
The Cross is the center of God's love.
The Cross is all human race have ever need.
The Cross is the place where we can found forgiveness and new live.
The Cross is the place where you can build a firm argument to argue the word objection of Jesus.
The Cross is the comfortable place where you can reason this life's comfortness.
The Cross is the source of Christian Joy and Happiness which the world longing for.
The Cross is the eternity light that God shine the darkness of this world.
There was the Cross of Christ.
There is the Cross of Christ.
There will be the Cross of Christ.
The Cross of Christ will always be there, faithfully standing for us. In our journey of faith, always look up to the Cross of Christ and remember what God had done for us through His Son Jesus Christ.
Without faith, there is no faithfulness.
