THE IDENTITY OF GOSPEL OF CHRIST (Galatians 1:6-7)

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel (NKJV)

Full of Grace.
The attitude of Gospel of Christ is full with grace.
The Gospel of Christ opens the real fact to the sinners that they will be judge,
The Gospel of Christ then show to the sinners the way of forgiveness and salvation in Christ Jesus,
The Gospel of Christ then calling the sinners to come and receive the forgiveness and salvation from God,

Grace: The Love Action of God.  Even though you live in sin, God still love you.
Mercy: The love action of man. If you do well then man will love you.

(Man’s love is reward orientated) How much is given to you is depend on how many I receive from you. You will be love according to how many good deeds you perform.
(God’s love is God’s orientated) How much is given to you is depend how many God have. You will be love by God according to how much love He wants to give to you.

God is love and He is the source of love. He will love you because He wants.

Ephesians 2:8-9   8 for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Not Force man but Calling man.
The attitude of Gospel of Christ is not force man to receive Him but it is invitation calling for the sinners to receive the action of salvation which God have provide through The Cross of Christ.

The Gospel of Christ not judge the sinners, its declare the fact that sinners will be save if they believe in Jesus.
The Gospel of Christ is not scary the sinners but give hope of salvation for those who come and trust in Jesus Christ.
The Gospel of Christ is not condemn the sinners but save those who believe in Jesus.

God call us in His tender voice.

28  "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29  "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30   "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." ~Matthew 11:28-30~

This calling is for sinners to receive rest from many trying to be forgiven and be saved.
This calling is for Christian to receive rest from our journey of faith.
This calling is for Islam, those who believe in Muhammad,
This calling is for Buddhist, those who believe in Buddha,
This calling is for Hindus, those who believe in many gods.

Our God is a perfect God
He perfectly love us with His perfect love


2.      The Identity of another gospel (7)

Which is really no gospel at all? Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. (NIV)

What is the other Gospel?

Galatians 3:1-5  You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.  2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?  3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?  4 Have you suffered so much for nothing-- if it really was for nothing?  5 Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?

a.    Confusing

The attitude of other gospel is confusing.
Its trouble the Galatians church with many responsibilities,
It’s provoking the Galatians church to changes their focus from saves by faith to the man’s effort,
It’s confusing the sinners with much responsibility to gain salvation.
Jews are touch to obey the 10 commandments
Islam’s is touch to obey the syariah law
Buddhist is touch to obey the …
Hindus are touch to obey many laws of many gods.

And only Christians are touch to obey one law only the law of love.

b.  Pervert the Gospel of Christ

The attitude of other gospel is pervert/against the Gospel of Christ.
Its try to change the truth.
its try to add another teaching to the Gospel of Christ.
Its teach Save by faith alone + obeying the ten commandment/religion rules.

As I told before, God love is perfect love without asking for reward but man’s love?
It is asking for reward. So this wrong gospel is the gospel of man. They asking for reward.
You want to be forgiven, you must perform good deed.
If you want to be save, you must obey this and that law.


3.      The Applications for Christian

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by
changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how 
good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. ~Romans 12:2~ (NKJV)

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right 
hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is 
hidden with Christ in God. ~Colossians 3:1-3~ (NKJV)

What is our good deed for?

Our good deeds are the evidence of our faith and not for gain God’s love.
Our good deeds are our fruit of Christian’s life and not for make us Christian.
Our good deeds are the evidence of salvation and not for buying salvation.
Our good deeds are the signal of Christ Jesus Living in us and not to persuade Him to come and live in us. 
Our good deeds are the action of Holy Spirit in and through us and not for make Holy Spirit stay and work 
in and through us.
Our good deeds are the evidence of God’s righteousness and holiness in us and not to make us more right 
and holy than other Christian.

 Again I say what have I told you earlier,

~We are saving by faith alone, there is no human effort.

~We are live by faith alone, human effort is the fruit of our trust to God.

Marthen Luther say “Ora Et Labora (pray and Action) and not Labora and Ora (Action and Pray)

~God’s love us because He is love, not because we love Him first.
~We love God because He has loved us first.



Our attitude toward Gospel of Christ.
  1. Receive the Gospel of Christ in faith. Receive and not question it.
  2. Live in faith that Jesus Christ has forgive us. Live the faith.
  3. Do not add anything else into the Gospel of Christ. Only faith.



Our attitude toward other gospel.
  1.  Do not receive the other gospel. Reject it even your live is the price of your rejection.
  2. Do not teach it to the other. For those who teach the wrong Gospel they will be condemn (salvation is through Christ + Good Work), (Gal 1:8,9)

PEMIMPIN TUKANG POS (Bagian 4 - Penutup)

Kepemimpinan Harun, Saul dan Pilatus menggambarkan gaya pemimpin yang menghindari tanggung jawab, dan dari kisah mereka, kita belajar hal-hal krusial yang wajib direnungkan oleh pemimpin masa kini. 5 Implikasi Kepemimpinan dari Harun, Saul, dan Pilatus 1. Kepemimpinan butuh keberanian moral, bukan hanya status - Jabatan tanpa keberanian untuk menegakkan nilai akan berujung pada kepemimpinan yang kosong dan mudah ditekan.  2.
