THE IMPORTANT OF WISDOM (Chapter 2)

1. The Word If is explaining the condition needed / require from a person to experience the blessing of wisdom.

Verse 1My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,  2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding,
  •  Accept my words
  •  Store up my commands
  •  Turning your ear to wisdom
  • Applying your heart to understanding
Verse 3and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,
  • Call out for insight
  • Cry aloud for understanding
Verse 4and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
  • You look it as a silver
  •  Search for it as for hidden treasure,

2. The Word then is explaining how wisdom granted blessing for the person who fulfills the condition and requirement in the verses 1 to 4.

Verse 5then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
  • You will understand the fear of the Lord
  • Find the knowledge of God
Verse 9Then you will understand what is right and just and fair-- every good path.
  • You will understand what is right and just and fair

3. What the Wisdom does for us?

Verse 5then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
  • We will understand the fear f the LORD and
  • We will find the knowledge of God.
The Bible gave us reason why it’s important for us to understand the fear of the LORD and to find knowledge of God?

Verse 6For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
  • Because the LORD gives wisdom
  • From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.      
Verse 7He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
  • He hold victory in the store for the upright

Verse 8for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
  • He guard the course of the just and
  • Protects the way of His faithful ones.
Verse 9 Then you will understand what is right and just and fair-- every good path.

  • We will understand what is fair
  • We will understand every good path
The Bible gave us reason (1) how we understand what is right and just and fair – every good path and (2) how its work in our life!

Verse 10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
  • 1.      Wisdom will enter your heart and
  • 2.      Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Verse 11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
  • Discretion will protect you and
  • Understanding will guard you.
Verse 12Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
  • Wisdom will save us from the ways of wicked men
  • Wisdom will save us from men whose words are perverse,

Verse  13who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways,
  • Who leave the straight paths to
  • Walk in dark ways
Verse 14who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
  • Who delight in doing wrong and

 Verse 15whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.

Verse 16 It will save you also from the adulteress, from the wayward wife with her seductive words,
  • Wisdom will save us from the adulteress
  •   Wisdom will save us from the wayward wife with her seductive words

Verse 17 who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.

Verse 18For her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.

Verse 19 None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.

4. The result of having wisdom

Verse 20 Thus you will walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous.
  • Wisdom will guide us walk in the ways of good men and
  • Wisdom will keep the path of the righteous
Verse 21 For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it;
  • Wisdom will bless the upright live in the land and
  • Wisdom will bless the blameless remain in it   
Verse 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

Matthew 16:1-4   1 Kemudian datanglah orang-orang Farisi dan Saduki hendak mencobai Yesus. GEREJA YANG IDEAL (Menurut KPR 2:41-47)

I . APAKAH YANG DIMAKSUD DENGAN GEREJA ? Apakah Gereja adalah gedung ? Apakah Gereja adalah organisasi ? Menurut ALKITAB, gereja adalah Kristen (pengikut Kristus) * 1 Petrus 2:9-10  Tetapi kamulah bangsa yang terpilih, imamat yang rajani, bangsa yang kudus, umat kepunyaan Allah sendiri, supaya kamu memberitakan perbuatan-perbuatan yang besar dari Dia, yang telah memanggil kamu keluar dari kegelapan kepada terang-Nya yang ajaib: Yesus Kristus tidak membuat dan mengembangkan organisasi atau denominasi atau sinode tertentu tetapi mengorganisir Kristen. II. SIAPAKAH PENDIRI GEREJA ? * Matius 16:18  Dan Aku pun berkata kepadamu: Engkau adalah Petrus dan di atas batu karang ini Aku akan mendirikan jemaat-Ku dan alam maut tidak akan menguasainya. Jadi, Yesus Kristus tidak mendirikan gedung tetapi mendirikan sebuah jemaat. Gedung/tempat ibadah kemudian diadopsi menjadi kebutuhan Kristen. SYARAT MENJADI GEMBALA

Yohanes 21:15-19 Menyimak perbincangan Yesus Kristus dengan Simon Petrus dalam bacaan hari ini, kita akan belajar beberapa prinsip dalam pelayanan penggembalaan. Setidaknya ada tiga syarat penggembalaan yang tersirat dari perbincangan diatas. Baiklah kita lihat ketiga syarat tersebut secara terperinci. A. MENGALAMI KASIH ALLAH (Ay.15) 15 Sesudah sarapan Yesus berkata kepada Simon Petrus: "Simon, anak Yohanes, apakah engkau mengasihi Aku lebih dari pada mereka ini?" Jawab Petrus kepada-Nya: "Benar Tuhan, Engkau tahu, bahwa aku mengasihi Engkau." Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Gembalakanlah domba-domba-Ku." Pertanyaan pertama bukanlah sebuah pertanyaan retorika, bukanlah pula sebuah pertanyaan ujian atau uji coba. Beberapa hal yang melatarbelakangi  pertanyaan tersebut ialah 1.
